FVS Youth Orchestras Eligibility Guidelines and
Basic Expectations for Membership
• Students participate in the annual audition process.
• Students are strongly encouraged to participate in either
their school band or orchestra program.
• Membership in the orchestra is considered a commitment for (2)
10 Week sessions for a total of 20 weeks.
• Attendance at Sunday rehearsals, fall day camp, concerts and spring
tour/exchange is required. The concerts are scheduled in November
and March.
• There is a modest annual tuition and need based scholarships are
available.
Auditions
Students in the Youth Orchestras come from the Fox Valley region and represent the best teaching and talent throughout the area. We are therefore proud to support orchestra and band instruction at all levels. The Youth Orchestras are open by auditions to Fox Valley area students in April of each year. After you have determined which orchestra best fits your level of experience, please return your application by April 1, 2008 to our Youth Orchestras Manager at:
